A General Assault Badge, Late-War Example, by Rudolf Karneth & Söhne consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac suspended from a swivel suspension(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Rudolf Karneth & Shne, Gablonz, measuring 42. 50 mm (w) x 54. 22
