Constructed of silvered and gilded feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing in place the obverse eagle, with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 43. 64 mm (w) x 52. 85 mm (h), weighing 32.
