The band traces it roots back to the early 1980s when Justin Broadrick, the band leader aside BC Green, began playing in various bands, including Napalm Death. Their debut album Streetcleaner proved to be revolutionary and radical, creating an entirely new style of music. Since then, Broadrick and Green have continued the band and its experimentation. Broadrick also started his own label Avalanche Recordings which
