Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, Type 6, by Friedrich Linden consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac XV - Return to Dieppe(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in position, with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a Type 6 badge produced by Friedrich
