Constructed of aluminum, the obverse with a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, within an oval laurel wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs connected to a period original brown leather strap with a partially legible makers mark reading OBERSTEIN 1939, the reverse of the buckle bearing a makers mark of F. R. for Franz Reischauer, Oberstein,
