A first war year Iron Cross badge, constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a 1914 Iron Cross executed in black and white enamels, bearing a central gilded double headed eagle, and overlaying a circular gilded laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), in extremely fine
