civilian and political individuals for various reasons
but in 1944 was used in support of the Gibraltar and Sierra Leone convoys
as part of the Home Fleet at Devonport
His health continued to deteriorate in the latter part of 1944
A 1957 Issued German Cross In Silver GTRexclude He was transferred to theA 1957 Issued German Cross in Silver In silvered tombac, fine quality, in mint condition. These (denazified) awards were issued by the Federal Republic of Germany in 1957 for Veterans wear (as WWII awards were not allowed for wear) and awarded only to the German Veterans entitled to such awards during the War; production of these awards ceased in 1986.
