A First War Imperial German Black Grade Wound Badge; Hollow Stamped Version Auction January 28A first war German Verwundetenabzeichen; oval stamped blackened bronze; the obverse with a Stahlhelm in the center superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin and a functional hinge catch assembly; unmarked; measuring 43. 70 mm x 38. 27 mm; weighing 6. 6 grams; the majority of the black finish worn off; in overall better than fine condition.
