Germany, Weimar Republic. A Patriotic Iron Cross Sweetheart Pin United Republic of Medal for Escaped Prisoners of(Brosche). A First War period German brooch constructed from a gilded piece of an artillery shell driving band, featuring a black enamelled Iron Cross with oak leaves on either side, reverse presents a horizontal pinback, measures 41 mm (w) x 11 mm (h), and in overall very fine condition.
