This is a very fine print of an artist’s rendition of an anti-aircraft Flak and its crew in the wake of an allied air raid
with a War Merit Cross without Swords 1st Class
surrounded by a ring of black enamel bearing an inscription of “ORDO TEUT HUMANITATI” (“TEUTONIC HUMANITARIAN ORDER”)
maker marked "BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN

BAT., worn on replacement ribbon, minor wear, a few small edge knocks, lovely patina, in extremely fine condition. Footnote: Sergeant Charles Faille is named on the nominal rolls for 1881 1882 with the 65th royal rifles, and from 1882 1884 with the 85th regiment. He is present on the medal roll for the North West Medal.
