Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laure and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping patinated Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, marked with the logo of Gebrder Wegerhoff, Ldenscheid, measuring 63.
