Schaumburg-Lippe, Principality. A Loyal Service Cross Newly Listed This particular buckle is illustrated(Kreuz fr treue Dienste). Instituted on 18 November 1914 by Prince Adolph II. A cross constructed of gilded bronze, bearing the inscription FR TREUE DIENSTE 1914 (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE 1914), measuring 35. 82 mm (w) x 35. 81 mm (h), on loop for suspension from period original combat triangular ribbon, presenting major loss of gilt, and in fair condition.
