Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse depicting an an observation balloon bearing a Balkan Cross, inside an oval oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41. 83 mm (w) x 52. 70 mm (h), weighing 36. 2 grams, in near mint condition.
