Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized belt and buckle around a raised letter R, with a central depiction of a mounted horse, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked L. CHR. LAUER, NRNBERG, measuring 42. 07 mm (w) x 52. 02 mm (h), weighing 16. 0 grams, in extremely fine
