Wwi 8Th Mounted Rifle Battalion Cap Badge And Collar Badge certificate_of_authenticity Communique dated 22 October 1915:WWI 8th Mounted Rifle Battalion Cap Badge and Collar Badge Cap Badge (browning copper, unmarked, 40. 2 mm x 42. 3 mm, one lug intact, the other broken off); and Collar Tab (browning copper, unmarked, 27. 5 mm x 29 mm, intact lugs). Light contact, residue in the recessed areas, very fine. Footnote: The Battalion was organized in Ottawa, Ontario, on March 15, 1915. It was broken up to provide reinforcements and was finally disbanded on November 15, 1920.
