It is inspired by Hans Talhoffer, the famous 15th century German swordsman and fencing master. The sword has a wooden grip wrapped in brown leather and a pommel peened to the tang. The blade is made of EN45 hardened and tempered carbon steel and has a blunt edge and tip, so it is battle ready and suitable for light sword fighting and re enactment.
