Takupalangu is a big swamp filled with bush vegetables called mungilpa. When Alice was a small girl she travelled this Country with her family, her mother collecting mungilpa and pummelling it into damper. Alice's Tjukurrpa is the porcupine Tjilkamala scurrying about the rockholes and sandhills
